TECHING Engines, Model Kits & Parts for Technology Enthusiasts
TECHING is one of the leading names on the market when it comes to DIY engine kits for enthusiasts. With quite a few different engines in its portfolio, it has something for everyone, whether you’re after a radial engine or a classic V8.
We understand that sometimes, these kits won’t work according to the plan. Whether you’re rushing out of excitement or you’re new to them, it’s understandable to make mistakes. And since some parts are fragile, they’re prone to damage.
Nothing to worry about, we’ve got your back!
Circuit Boards
Circuit boards are some of the most fragile parts in a TECHING engine kit. Improper manhandling can ruin some of the parts on the board. Fortunately, they won’t cost a fortune, despite being considered the brain of the engine.
The board comes with all the required components to be used out of the box.
Batteries
While most people are happy to display their TECHING engines once completed, the truth is they run just like real engines. A battery is required though and unfortunately, this battery will have a limited lifetime.
Our 7.4V 800mAh battery is designed for the TECHING V8 engine model. It’s as good as the original, so it will match like a glove, giving your engine even more time to run.
Electric Parts
Keeping your TECHING engine running requires the right electric parts. And whether you’re not careful when you make it or you simply forget to look after them, they could stop working. The electric start motor is one of the parts more likely to fail.
The 10086 model we have in stock is made for the TECHING V8 engine kit.
Brackets
We store a few different brackets for different applications in terms of TECHING engines. Based on our sales, the MAD RC V8 engine bracket for the AX90104 SCX10 II model is the most fragile one.
Even if yours breaks, you can still order a replacement and keep your engine running.
Apart from small bits, we also store full models, such as the motor for TECHING assembly representing a vintage classic car. Having the full motor means there’s no further assembly required, just hook it up and it’s ready to go.
But that’s not everything, as we also store full models based on TECHING kits, such as:
Realistic miniature live steam train locomotives that can run down a track once completed.
Metallic car engine model based on a single cylinder, able to run like a real engine.
Mechanical miniature oil pump based on the Derrick model, which works in a dust cover.
Old-fashioned metallic steam car model that you can assemble yourself from scratch.
DIY pumping unit based on a working pump jack assembly.

Tips and Tricks for Beginners
If this is the first time you’ll do a TECHING engine or model kit, it might be a good idea to start with something basic that doesn’t have too many parts. Anything under 500 pieces will do. You’ll still get a nice challenge, but it won’t be too frustrating.
As for individual parts in our collection, they’re more suitable for those who have bigger kits, but with damaged or lost parts that require replacement.
No one’s saying you can’t start with a big puzzle with more than 1,000 pieces, but the lack of experience might make it frustrating at times. It’s still doable though, especially if you love a nice challenge. When you work on puzzle, don’t do it as a chore, but take your time and have fun doing it. If the fun stops or you’re stressed, continue the next day.
Before starting any puzzle, read the manual first. Give it a quick read and try to identify parts, without actually completing any steps.
Following the Manual
We strongly recommend following everything in the manual. Each TECHING engine or model kit comes with a manual, which will help you identify parts and show you the steps. Doing things out of order might get you stuck at some point.

Are TECHING kits good for something else apart from decoration?
Such 3D puzzle kits have mental and physical benefits. They also work as toys, as some of them have moving mechanisms, not to mention engine kits that work like real engines or remotely controlled robots.
