What's Howin Engine?

Located in a picturesque village in southern China, Howin Engine, sometimes known as HOWIN, is a model machinery production enterprise. Its creation of high-performance miniature engine models is its primary line of business.

Since 1999, Howin Engine has been among China's top 100 model engine manufacturers. It is getting close to producing 1,000 model engines a year. The Howin Engine Team is passionate about creating exact, high-performing scale RC engines.

If you know about the Toyan v800 engine, you might be familiar with the Howin brand. They worked together with Toyan Engines to design it.

In the future, Howin will concentrate on developing a high-performance engine to meet the requirements for operating RC cars. The first experiment will be the L4-172. They also intend to deliver the inline-six engine later this year.

What's Howin Engine L4-172?

The HOWIN team recently unveiled the L4-172, a tiny inline four-cylinder, four-stroke engine model exhibiting a strong engine manufacture spirit. It recreates the elegance of full-size cars in scale models by drawing inspiration from early, extensively used real car engines that are beautifully styled and aesthetically pleasing.

This engine offers a realistic feel, from inline four cylinders to camshafts and rocker arms. Every effort has been taken to retain a high level of performance that can provide RC vehicle and ship models exceptional power, down to the engine's scale and appearance.

The L4 engine, which has a small overall structure and is primarily ornamented in black and silver to create an upscale ambiance, is a collision between current mechanics and traditional retro designs. Adopts alloy rocker arms, an independent intake/exhaust design, the SOHC valve system, and progressively precise valve opening/closing. It is constructed with a single carburetor and adjustable valve for simple adjustment and more responsive throttle response. Thanks to the integrated stainless steel exhaust and intake pipes, the engine sounds strong and deep, like a racing car.

An integrated and reinforced crankshaft with five points of full support guarantees that it has enough strength and won't easily bend when operating at high speeds.

The lifespan is extended by using an external water pump and a cooling method. This method allows direct contact between the coolant and the cylinder liner for heat dissipation. With its convenient electrical starting and 480 brush motor, it has a high speed of up to 15000 rpm, making it resemble a small aggressive beast with smooth idle running.

Each model component is made from carefully selected materials. The cylinder block, crankcase, and cylinder head are all made from CNC-processed aluminum alloy. After sandblasting, anodic oxidation is used to add color. The piston ring is made of nodular cast iron.

The crankshaft, camshaft, and rocker arms of an inline four-cylinder engine are finely crafted with small tolerances to provide consistent output. Guidelines: One engine, four glow plugs, one ignition, four M4 screws for assembly and fixing, one set of instructions, and one engine base are included. Batteries, water cooling kits (radiator and water tank), fuel lines, and gasoline tanks must be assembled or purchased.
