Engine start steps:

To prepare the engine for starting, follow these steps:

1. Gather 3 AA 1.5v batteries.
2. Check the engine wiring to ensure all connections are secure.
3. Connect the fuel tank tube to the engine.
4. Connect the battery box to the engine.
5. Fill the fuel tank with gasoline (95#). Ensure there is no air in the tubing after filling.
6. Rotate the engine flywheel clockwise by hand to allow the mixed gasoline to enter completely.
7. Check for a spark while rotating the flywheel and ensure the cylinder is in a normal compression state. If there is a spark, you can proceed to start the engine.

To adjust the ignition timing, follow these steps:

1. Check that the piston connecting rod is at the leftmost horizontal position (as shown in Figure 1).
2. Check the ignition switch's and brass's closing condition (Figure 2).
3. Once both conditions are met, turn the flywheel and observe if the connecting rod moves to the leftmost position within 0.2 seconds and if there is a spark. If everything checks out, you can start the engine.
