What makes this motor different than the other 17 series motors?
The "sane brother" of the 1721-2400kv is the 1721-1260kv. In contrast to the 1721-2400kv, which is designed for SPEED, the 1721-1260kv is constructed on the same platform but at a more traditional Kv. Compared to its younger sibling, the 1717-1260kv, it is more powerful and operates more efficiently. It is, therefore, the ideal mild yet potent replacement for the 1717-size motors that are standard on the Traxxas X-Maxx and Arrma 8s vehicles.
