How To: Make an RC Car Jump in Under 5 Minutes!
In this post, I'll demonstrate how to make an RC car leap using everyday household objects. Despite its simplicity, this ramp is a lot of fun!
Let's dive right in, shall we?
Step 1 - What You'll Need
- I discovered a 28x40x55cm box lying around. However, the size of the box can vary depending on the type of RC car you own. Additionally, thicker cardboard is preferable.
- Packing tape might be helpful to have on hand, even though I didn't need any to make this.
- An edged blade.
- A marker.
Step 2 - Mark Out Your Box
Mark the area where you must cut with your marker. The cutting was excellent for my 1/10 electric buggy, and I'll get two jumps out of one box! Feel free to use different cutting techniques to get extra height or distance with your model.
Step 3 - Cut
After marking out your boxes, cut them out with your knife. You could cut yourself if you slide, so please take extra care!

This is what you should have in the end.
Step 4 - Test Your New Jump!
I was surprised that I could stop the box from moving without using a weight. However, if that's an issue, you may prevent it from moving by placing a brick or a boulder in front of it. Altering the box's dimensions and cutting method can greatly affect how it fits your RC car. Try it out, make changes, and most of all, enjoy yourself!
