A Guideline About Our Age Level/Skill Level/Build Time Recommendations
As a helpful guide, we provide our customers with three primary classifications for each aircraft on our website. It is crucial to remember that these are only recommendations to help you make an informed choice when getting ready to buy a plane from us.
Although these categories are intended to be helpful, the consumer is ultimately responsible for selecting the option that most suits their needs. Our customer service representatives will be pleased to help if you ever have any questions concerning these suggestions.
These are the three main classifications:
Age Level
Age Level is divided into three levels:
10 and Up Adult supervision is still advised even though these aircraft are straightforward and uncomplicated to fly.
14 and Up Most of our aircraft belong to this age group, which typically consists of pilots who have some experience and are probably able to fly unaccompanied by an adult.
18 and Up Only powerful, lightning-fast aircraft, such as our 80mm/90mm EDF jets, are allowed in this class. Older people are best suited for these aircraft because they require the highest level of skill and rigorous safety procedures when flying. There are, of course, some exceptions (for instance, 14-year-olds who fly professionally), but generally speaking, this is a good distinction.
Skill Level
The skill level is divided into four levels:
Beginner: This level of proficiency is appropriate for someone who has never flown before and is new to the pastime. Chosen for our trainer aircraft that is the easiest to fly and one we believe will give you the best chance of success.
Intermediate This skill level is for someone who has advanced to and feels comfortable operating 4+ channel, modestly powered aircraft safely, displaying the skill required to take, fly and land successfully.
Advanced Those who have honed their flying abilities and are capable of operating almost any of our aircraft safely are at this competence level. A proficient pilot should be able to manage the majority of powerful, fast aircraft safely.
Expert Those with years of flight experience who can safely fly any RC aircraft, no matter how big or small, with a high degree of competence and accuracy are at this skill level. This includes our larger collective pitch helicopters and our 90mm EDF jets.
Build Time
Build times are simply estimates. It's meant to offer you a ballpark estimate of how long the project might take.
It is impossible to provide a precise time for any build because everyone has a different level of construction experience and approaches. Nonetheless, these are reasonable expectations for the majority of clients. We expect these to be accurate general estimates for the majority of people. However, some will undoubtedly discover that the build took them longer or less than we anticipated.
Once more, these are only recommendations meant to assist our clients in making the most educated choice possible when they buy aircraft from us. As always, don't hesitate to contact our Customer Support Team with any more queries; one of our friendly and experienced RC specialists will be happy to help. Have fun while flying!
