This tiny silver engine, the FL4-175, is a 17.5cc flathead side-valved water-cooled engine that runs on CDI ignition and burns gasoline. A small amount of oil is added to the crankcase for internal lubrication, and caster oil is added to the Fuel for upper-end lubrication. The engine's primary body is machined with precision on aluminum using CNC technology. It has a one-piece crankshaft, a high-performance hardened cylinder liner, and bi-metal piston rings constructed of cast iron. Sandblasting oxidation onto the engine surface creates an excellent metal texture and mechanical engineering sense.

As everyone knows, an internal combustion engine with poppet valves housed inside the engine block instead of the cylinder head, as in an overhead valve engine, is known as a flathead engine, sometimes a side-valve engine or valve-in-block engine. From the late 1890s until the mid-1950s, side valve engines were widely employed internationally by automakers; however, they were eventually supplanted by more efficient overhead valve and overhead camshaft engines. 

This particular FL4-175 engine has a compact, small dimension but a large displacement and a straightforward, dependable build that produces a fantastic performance together. It's an excellent fusion of vintage and contemporary gear. 

Long stroke and high torque

Because of the engine's side valve structure, which reduces weight and increases gravity, the engine produces more torque over a longer stroke. More torque enables higher horsepower to be made at lower engine speeds.

Responsive and powerful

The engine features an independent single carburetor, integrated printed inlet and exhaust pipes made of stainless steel, and easy tuning for more responsive throttle response and a rich, powerful sound.  

Effective and lasting work

The external oil pump is used for enhanced independent lubrication and crankshaft supplementation when combined with tiny oil filters. The water cycle cooling system extends the engine's lifespan and functioning.  

Convenient ignition

Users of remote control electronic devices will find the engine ignition more stable and user-friendly thanks to the self-developed four-cylinder electronic igniter, which has a compact size and powerful anti-interference properties.  

Upgrade

The oil bottom shell is set aside for an observation window that may be changed to a transparent one to observe crankshaft operation in real-time. The flywheel end is set aside for customers to enhance by installing a mechanical manual clutch replicating an automobile.  

RC compatibility

The lightweight engine is compatible with RC models and is an incredible "heart" for low torque demanding 1/8 and 1/10 scale model crawlers.
